The famous scene in The Fellowship of the Ring where Gandalf the Gray faces off with the Balrog of Morgoth across the Bridge of Khazad Dum.
I drew this about half a year ago, after a viewing of the FotR DVD. The scene where the Balrog roars at the screen has always been one of my favorite parts, and Gandalf's stance as the Balrog is coming up out of the fire just reeks of such coolness, I knew I had to draw it. It was done entirely in Photoshop 6 using a Wacom Graphire 2 tablet. Tools used include many sizes of paintbrush, dodge/burn tools, smudge brush, and line tool. Working on and off, it took me about three days to complete.

Awesome, I like the fire and the balrog's head, and how your balrog is not (or appears not to be)as huge as in the movie. I'd say it's more canon that way
